Getting To Know NTT Woven Fabric, Worn By Titiek Soeharto At Himpunan Ratna Busana Event

Chairwoman of Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Titiek Soeharto wore Nusantara heritage (wastra) in the form of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) woven cloth. Quoted from her Instagram account, Sunday (6/22/2025), NTT woven cloth was worn at the Himpunan Ratna Busana event entitled "Getting to Know Wastra, Clothing, Culture, and Culinary of East Nusa Tenggara" on May 10, 2025. "Every region has its own characteristics, as does NTT. So, I just found out that all the weavers, every weave, has its meaning," said Titiek in her upload. 

In addition to Titiek, other figures who also wore NTT woven cloth were the Chairwoman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani, Indonesian Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, Yenny Wahid, and Annisa Pohan Yudhoyono. 

Getting to know NTT woven cloth NTT woven cloth is one of the wastra that is full of cultural meaning. This is because the making is done with a high level of difficulty. Making it by hand for a long time makes NTT woven fabrics have a high selling value, even reaching hundreds of millions of rupiah.
