THE Falcon Pictures production house is back to present the Warkop DKI film in the form of an animation entitled Warkop DKI Kartun which will be shown in theaters starting June 26, 2025. It is known that Warkop DKI is a leading comedy group from Indonesia consisting of Kasino Hadiwibowo, Wahjoe Sardono, and Indrodjojo Kusumonegoro. They first met on the Obrolan Santai di Warung Kopi radio program, at Prambors. Indro, the remaining Warkop DKI personnel, admitted that he was happy because Warkop DKI could be present in the form of an animated film. This is an important thing in maintaining the existence of Warkop DKI. This animated film is also a door to introduce Warkop DKI to children. "If we talk about it before, I myself didn't think that Warkop DKI would be made into an animation like this, what is certain is that I really want the characters of Dono and Kasino not to disappear. I also want Mas Dono, Mas Kasino even though in cartoon form, to still be remembered by today's children," said Indro at the gala premiere which took place in Jakarta on Saturday (21/6) night. This film presents the character Dono with Wiwid Widyas as the voice actor, then the character Kasino with Farie Judhistira as the voice actor, and the character Indro whose voice is filled by Mo Sidik. Indro Warkop is also present who provides the voice of Commander Chips, then there are Mandra to Jaja Mihardja who appear to provide the voices as their own characters. Warkop DKI Kartun presents the story of the trio Dono, Kasino and Indro who serve as Chips. The film is divided into three parts with different stories. Although presenting different stories, the film remains a unity because Warkop DKI still appears as Chips only carrying out three different missions. In the first mission, Warkop DKI is given the task of stopping a super robot that is causing chaos in the city, then this trio is also assigned by the CHIPS commander to dismantle the distributor of national exam answers, as well as the story of how Dono, Kasino, and Indro fought together with the Indonesian national soccer team towards the world cup. Indro, who also watched the Warkop DKI Kartun film together at the Gala Premier, admitted that he did not expect that many children would be entertained. "I'm really happy that many children are entertained. I think that's the dimension of children, maybe if we (adults) watch it, we don't laugh, but when children watch (animated films), it's like that, until they grr-grran (laugh)," said Indro. Although it is presented in a cartoon version, Indro said that the essence of Warkop DKI still feels authentic. Although every joke presented in the film is slightly refined, it is attempted to be as similar as possible to the one in the Warkop DKI series at that time. "I hope that this can be accepted by children. Moreover, it is broadcasted at the same time as the school holidays. I imagine that Dono, Kasino and Indro are still in the minds of these Indonesian children, although perhaps in a more eternal cartoon form," he said.
