Jin From BTS Is Set To Take Part As A Torchbearer During The Upcoming Paris Olympics

Soloist and BTS member Jin is set to be a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics, as confirmed by a source within the music industry. The source revealed that Jin will soon depart for France to participate in the torch relay, although specific details regarding the location and schedule remain undisclosed.

While the exact reason behind Jin's selection as a torchbearer has not been revealed, it is likely linked to BTS' immense global popularity. Furthermore, BTS has long been associated with the empowering message of "love yourself" over the years.

On another note, Jin recently completed his mandatory military service last month, making him the first member of BTS to do so.

Jin is rumored to be preparing to make an appearance on MBC television channel's variety show in the latter part of this year. This will mark his official return to the entertainment industry following his mandatory military service in December 2022.

Furthermore, Jin is getting ready to release a new single in the second half of the year. In a recent message to fans on K-pop fan community platform Weverse, Jin shared his excitement about returning to the South Korean entertainment industry.

"I'm currently working on recording music and filming variety shows," he stated. "I'm trying to focus on my main work while making as many appearances as possible. The results will be revealed in a few months, so please be patient."

However, he made it clear that he currently has no plans to pursue acting, saying, "I have no intentions of acting at the moment. I apologize for that."

Despite having studied acting at university and expressing interest in pursuing it as part of his individual activities, Jin will be concentrating on music and appearing on variety shows, as he has communicated through Weverse.
