Alvin Lim's attorney has responded to the cease-and-desist notice issued by the Indonesian Flight Attendants Association. This notice follows a dispute involving former flight attendant Pratiwi Noviyanthi, also known as Teh Novi, concerning the Agus Salim case. Alvin is accused of making derogatory remarks after referring to flight attendants as typically having side jobs as "PLCR" in a video. According to a report from Tribun News on Friday, December 27, 2024, a representative of the Indonesian Flight Attendants Association, Yosefin, stated that over 3,000 flight attendants have expressed their support for the cease-and-desist action. "We have gained the trust of our fellow flight attendants across Indonesia. More than 3,000 individuals have already backed us," she remarked during a press conference on Thursday, December 26, 2024. They are demanding an apology from Alvin within 48 hours, failing which they will pursue legal action. In the meantime, another flight attendant, Adlina, clarified that this action is unrelated to Novi, and they have not communicated with the former flight attendant. Alvin Lim's Response Alvin Lim has addressed the decision of the Indonesian Flight Attendants Association, which may resort to legal measures if he does not apologize for his comments made in a video. He acknowledged their right to take such action but asserted that he would not issue an apology. "If I apologize, it would imply that my intention to demean was valid. I was referring to flight attendants I know, not all flight attendants," he stated to Kompas.com on Saturday, December 28, 2024. He described the situation as common knowledge, affecting not only certain flight attendants but also some artists. Alvin urged the Indonesian Flight Attendants Association not to take the matter personally, emphasizing that the original context of his remarks in the video was to inquire about the source of Novi's funds used to support her foundation. "The context is clear; I was questioning where the money came from. So, let’s not lose focus. They are welcome to file a report; it is not an issue," Alvin concluded.
