I hope that all TNI soldiers are not digitally blind, spreading hoaxes, falling into online gambling, and leaking state secrets as well as spreading content that goes against the SaptaMarga and the soldier's oath," explained the Electronic Communication Assistant (Askomlek) of the TNI Commander, Air Marshal TNI Kustono at the Digital Literacy Government event for TNI Soldiers Batch 1 at Hotel Bigland, Bogor City. Monday (03/06/2024). As TNI soldiers, continued Kustono, it is mandatory to combat negative content that is currently emerging in society as a form of maintaining unity. "Digital crimes are on the rise. Hoaxes, online gambling, online prostitution, cyberbullying, etc. can threaten national unity," he said. In addition to combating negative content in society, digital literacy is also expected to help TNI soldiers understand the four pillars of digital literacy more deeply so that they can be applied in daily life and in carrying out their duties. In agreement with the TNI Commander's Askomlek, the Director of Informatics Empowerment, Slamet Santoso, in his speech, talked about the role of digital literacy in supporting the realization of the PRIMA vision. "Understanding digital literacy is very important, especially for TNI soldiers. Digital literacy is not just about the use of hardware and software, but also includes a deep understanding of how this technology operates, how to protect sensitive information from cyber threats, and how to participate actively and ethically in the online world," explained Slamet. The Indonesian National Army (TNI) plays a crucial role in maintaining the stability and security of the country. Slamet further emphasized the challenges of the digital world that many parties, including TNI soldiers, must face. Having a deep understanding can anticipate various digital challenges and help achieve the PRIMA vision. "With strong digital literacy, TNI soldiers will be able to effectively face digital challenges," he concluded. In line with the relevance of the PRIMA vision and digital literacy, Colonel Restu Putra also mentioned the role of digital security in achieving that vision. TNI soldiers are required to master digital security practices such as software, internet networks, and computers. "This (Digital Security) is a mandatory skill as protectors against cyber attacks and military information systems," he explained. Furthermore, according to Colonel Restu, in order to implement Digital Security within the scope of the PRIMA vision, TNI soldiers must be professionals. "They must prioritize expertise in interacting and expressing opinions in the digital space with the principles of Digital Security," he continued. Not only that, TNI soldiers are also expected to be able to utilize digital platforms effectively and coordinate digital security integration. "Keep up with the current trends in the digital world while always adhering to digital security standards," he concluded. As information, the Digital Literacy program for TNI soldiers is a collaboration between the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and the TNI to achieve the vision of TNI becoming wiser and more adept in the digital era.
