The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) is preparing digitalization support for the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperative (KDMP), combining high-speed internet connections with tiered digital training for village cooperative managers. Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi), Meutya Hafid, stated that Kemkomdigi is ensuring the availability of a reliable and equitable digital network in KDMP priority areas, while also strengthening digital literacy through systematic training for cooperative human resources. "This assistance is carried out collaboratively with local digital communities and regional communication agencies to meet the needs of each village," said Meutya in a statement in Jakarta on Monday. Kemkomdigi is also implementing a data-driven strategy by routinely mapping areas. For example, all 379 villages and 26 sub-districts in Klaten Regency are now connected to fiber optic networks and Optical Distribution Points (ODPs). Kemkomdigi data also records 100 percent 4G network coverage in residential areas, with no villages categorized as unreachable or blank spots. The average internet speed in this region reaches 38.16 Mbps for downloads and 19.03 Mbps for uploads, making it considered capable of supporting the stable and sustainable operation of the cooperative digital ecosystem. To maintain service quality, the Ministry of Communication and Digitalization regularly conducts network audits to anticipate traffic spikes and increased data requirements. In an effort to strengthen cooperative digitalization, the Ministry of Communication and Digitalization has begun coordinating with the Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) to integrate the Ministry's digital training platform, Digitalent Academy, with the cooperative super app currently under development. This integration is designed to support member data management, cashless transactions, and real-time monitoring of cooperative performance.
