PT Jakarta Infrastruktur Propertindo (JIP) is stepping up its game in digital infrastructure by launching its own Internet Service Provider (ISP). This move is part of JIP's strategy to help transform Jakarta into a global city, especially as the demand for digital solutions grows in the age of Industry 4.0. Aji Rizqi Yodhana, the General Manager of Corporate Secretary at PT JIP, mentioned that this initiative will boost connectivity and strengthen Jakarta's digital ecosystem. "The introduction of this ISP service not only supports Jakarta's digital transformation but also makes it easier for residents to connect, particularly in areas that need stable internet access," he said. Previously, JIP gained recognition through its free internet program “Jak WiFi” and the paid version “Jakinet,” aimed at residents of simple rental apartments (rusunawa). This initiative aligns with the efforts of the Jakarta Provincial Government to enhance internet access for rusunawa residents. To expand its network, JIP offers dedicated internet services, managed WiFi and CCTV network services, as well as SD-WAN technology. The focus is on providing stable network connectivity while keeping operational costs efficient. The network is equipped with end-to-end encryption to safeguard user data and minimize risks from external threats like hacking and malware. On the infrastructure side, JIP has laid down a 14-kilometer fiber optic network in South Jakarta and set up two Points of Presence (POP) at Cyber 1 Building and IDC Indonesia Building in Duren Tiga. This infrastructure is designed to enhance network capacity in line with the growing number of users and increasing data demands. Investments in programs like Jak WiFi and Jakinet align with the vision of making Jakarta a more connected city, offering affordable internet services in densely populated areas. JIP is solidifying its strategic position in advancing ICT infrastructure with its POP network located in Jakarta's main data center, supporting the city's push for global status. The various initiatives from JIP are expected to act as a catalyst for accelerating business sector development in Jakarta, which is increasingly reliant on digital connectivity. The implementation of Fiber Optic infrastructure, Internet Service Provider devices, and SD-WAN allows for broader and safer internet access. This is beneficial for both individuals and businesses that need reliable and efficient connections. "With these services in place, JIP is more committed than ever to enhancing connectivity and supporting the digital ecosystem in this modern era," Aji concluded.
