Jakarta, July 15, 2025. PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of future digital talent. Through the Digistar program, Telkom recently held two special classes focused on strategic technology, namely "Secure The Future: Cybersecurity Essentials for Young Professionals" and "The Hot Future Skill: Shaping Tomorrow’s Workforce." These online events partnered with two global allies, F5 Networks and IBM Indonesia, successfully reaching over 380 participants, including Digistar Class Interns and DigiClub members. "We see the growing demand for talent in AI and Cyber Security across various industries, from finance and telecommunications to the government sector. Therefore, Telkom is striving to provide relevant and practical training programs to prepare digital talent for the industry," said Iwan Setiawan, VP of Human Capital Culture & Industrial Relations at Telkom. This initiative is part of Telkom's strategy to support national digital transformation by enhancing the digital competencies of the younger generation. These classes serve not only as a platform for knowledge sharing but also as a concrete initiative to create a safe and innovative digital ecosystem, aligned with Telkom's three main business pillars: Digital Connectivity, Digital Platform, and Digital Services. In the "Secure The Future" session, Telkom featured a speaker from F5 Networks, Doddy Widanto, who is a Senior Solution Engineer. Doddy thoroughly discussed critical issues such as the global cyber threat landscape, the importance of a comprehensive security approach, and how organizations need to implement integrated application and API protection. The material was presented with a focus on real case studies and the use of advanced technologies like Web Application Firewall (WAF) and WAAP. Meanwhile, in the session titled "The Hot Future Skill", participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the development of Artificial Intelligence from Ryan Renaldy, Business Development Executive of Strategic Business Divisions at IBM Indonesia. Ryan stated, "AI will be the main driver of transformation across sectors, emphasizing the importance of curiosity and a passion for learning. Always be curious and never stop learning from anyone." In this session, IBM introduced various AI platforms such as IBM Watson and Cloud Pak for Data, which enable organizations to automate processes, analyze big data, and build intelligent solutions based on machine learning. Participants also had direct access to interactive demos and exploration guides for IBM's platforms, serving as practical and applicable learning tools. This event is increasingly relevant given the predictions of rising global cyberattacks that are becoming more sophisticated, such as the use of AI for phishing and infiltrating data infrastructure. Consequently, the demand for digital talent in the fields of AI and Cyber Security is continuously increasing worldwide. According to the World Economic Forum 2024, AI Specialists and Cyber Security Analysts are among the top ten fastest-growing jobs in the world. Therefore, Digistar is taking the initiative to prepare the younger generation to be not only technically skilled but also highly aware of the importance of digital security. Through the Digistar Class Intern program, Telkom is committed to shaping young Indonesians who are adaptive, innovative, and aware of the challenges in the digital world, while also strengthening Telkom's positioning as a company that promotes the development of human resources as a strategic asset for the nation.
