The Ministry of Communication and Digital in collaboration with the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) is trying to strengthen supervision and law enforcement in the digital space by blocking 1.3 million online gambling (judol) content. "Welcome and thank you for attending this important event. The submission of the Audit Result Report (LHP) of the BPK RI's performance is a historic moment for us, because this is the first time it has been done at Kemkomdigi," said Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid in her official statement in Jakarta, Saturday. When opening the submission of the BPK RI LHP at the office of the Ministry of Communication and Digital in Jakarta, Friday (2/5), Meutya explained that from October 20, 2024 to April 23, 2025, Kemkomdigi had handled more than 1.3 million judol content, consisting of 1,192,000 gambling sites and 127,000 content on social media. "These figures reflect a real threat in the digital space that disrupts national security and order," she said. Kemkomdigi has launched various strategic steps, including the Content Moderation Compliance System (SAMAN), a policy that requires digital platforms to follow up on high-risk content within 4 hours and other negative content within 24 hours. In addition, the Government Regulation on the Governance of Electronic System Implementation in Child Protection in Digital Space (PP Tunas) has also been issued to strengthen child protection on the internet. "Kemkomdigi emphasizes that the development of a healthy and safe digital space is not only the responsibility of the government, but is the result of collaboration between all elements of the nation," said Meutya. Member III of the BPK RI Akhsanul Khaq appreciated Kemkomdigi's progressive steps. "We see that the action plan that has been prepared by Kemkomdigi shows a strong commitment to following up on the results of the audit," he said. Akhsanul noted that to date, Kemkomdigi has followed up on 82.2 percent of BPK recommendations, far above the national average of 75 percent.
