Local Partner Collaboration Is Tencent Cloud's Business Strategy In Indonesia

Collaborating with local companies and partners is one of the main business strategies of Tencent's cloud division, Tencent Cloud, to strengthen its position in the Indonesian cloud services sector. 

“We actually collaborate with our customers and partners to learn how their business is and enable them to establish cooperation like this,” said Tencent Cloud and Smart Industries Group Vice President of Marketing Freda Xu in a media discussion in South Jakarta, Monday. 

Freda explained that GoTo is one of the companies in Indonesia that collaborates with Tencent Cloud, especially in terms of cloud utilization for the digital economy ecosystem. 

“We interact and communicate a lot about what Tencent Cloud and GoTo can do together to help local communities. We continue to want to learn what Tencent Cloud can do to help the economy and digital transformation for the industry here,” he said. 

Vice President of Tencent Cloud International and Managing Director of Southeast Asia Jimmy Chen added, his party also provides services that prioritize a local approach where it adapts its services to the needs of local customers and partners. 

In addition, Tencent Cloud also actively transfers technological knowledge with local partners. 

“We understand what local partners need is not only technology and products, but also local services to run together with best practices and to create the best experience together with local partners,” Jimmy said. 

Tencent Cloud confirmed its commitment to supporting local companies and expanding cloud capacity by announcing plans to develop its third data center in Indonesia. 

This new infrastructure service will complement existing data centers, joining Tencent Cloud's global network of more than 50 availability zones covering 21 regions, including Indonesia.
