Abdul Rouf, S.Fil.I., M.Kesos has been appointed as the Head of the Data and Information Technology Center at the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Minister of Religious Affairs Prof. Nasaruddin Umar inaugurated 11 officials at the Echelon I level within the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The hybrid event took place at the HM Rasjidi Auditorium, Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, Jakarta. Prior to this, on December 24, 2024, Minister Nasaruddin Umar had appointed 18 officials at the Echelon II level, followed by the inauguration of 3 officials on February 4, 2025, and 8 officials on December 19, 2024. According to a press release from the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, on January 22, 2025, one of the appointed officials, Faisal Ali Hasyim, participated in the ceremony virtually from the Hajj Affairs Office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The event was attended by Special Staff and Expert Staff of the Minister of Religious Affairs, as well as Echelon II officials, highlighting the government's commitment to strengthening leadership within the Ministry. In his address, the Minister of Religious Affairs emphasized the importance of adhering to existing regulations and maintaining integrity in fulfilling responsibilities. "The leadership of the Ministry of Religious Affairs will flourish when we comply with the applicable rules," he stated. He also cautioned against allowing any potential breaches, no matter how small, within the ministry. "The Ministry of Religious Affairs is like a white cloth; even a tiny stain will be noticeable, especially in this era of advanced information technology," he added.
