Prodia & Roche Diagnostics Launch Next Generation Laboratory Automation System

Health laboratory services issuer PT Prodia Widyahusada, Tbk (stock code: PRDA) announced on Thursday, May 30, 2024 a partnership with Roche Diagnostics Indonesia to introduce the next generation laboratory with cobas connection Modules featuring the latest Information Technology (IT) for clinical chemistry and immunoassay examinations.

Located at Grha Prodia Surabaya, this laboratory service is available to meet diagnostic testing needs in the East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara regions. The inauguration of this laboratory automation system was attended by Dewi Muliaty as the President Director of PT Prodia Widyahusada Tbk, Lee Poh Seng as the Director, Diagnostics Division, PT Roche Indonesia, as well as management teams from each company and Prodia's strategic partners.

President Director of PT Prodia Widyahusada Tbk, Dewi Muliaty, stated that this latest cobas automation series is a form of Prodia's commitment to the government in promoting healthcare service transformation, especially in strengthening laboratory services in Indonesia.

"Prodia has collaborated with Roche Diagnostics Indonesia to support laboratory technology completeness, especially in chemistry-based diagnostic services and immunology. The presence of the latest cobas connection Modules from Roche, is the first to be available in the East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara regions.

The presence of this automated laboratory is expected to expand public access to accurate diagnostic testing and improve productivity and efficiency in laboratory work processes optimally so that customer service can be accelerated." said Dewi.

Capable of testing up to 1,400 samples per hour, cobas connection modules with automation features are designed to simplify and enhance laboratory operational efficiency, as well as perform sample quality checks to produce accurate results.
