President Prabowo Emphasizes The Necessity For Indonesia To Achieve Technological Breakthroughs

President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the necessity for Indonesia to achieve breakthroughs in technology. This assertion was made by the Head of State as part of the policy criteria that must be met. 

"We must be able to provide technological breakthroughs," stated Prabowo during a plenary cabinet meeting at the Presidential Office, located in the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. 

Prabowo also highlighted the importance of budget efficiency policies, along with the need to enhance the productivity of budget utilization. 

"We must increase productivity. This productivity should be measurable through quantification. How much foreign exchange is generated? How much foreign exchange is saved?" Prabowo remarked.  

Another criterion that all his officials must strive for is achieving food and energy self-sufficiency. Prabowo asserted that the nation must be capable of providing food for all its citizens without relying on imports. 

"In 2025, we will no longer import rice, corn, or salt. This means that the target I have set for the cabinet is that Indonesia must achieve food self-sufficiency within four years. Alhamdulillah, we can reach this target by the end of 2025, at the latest by 2026," Prabowo stated.
