Strengthen Business: Industries Actively Utilize AI Technology

The industry has widely adopted artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance its business operations, including telecommunications and technology companies. A notable example is Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat). 

Indosat has announced three innovative platforms coinciding with Indonesia AI Day.  

The first platform is 'IM3 Platinum.' Vikram Sinha, the President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, stated that this platform aims to provide a secure and spam-free experience in real time for 100 million IOH customers. "Currently, the number of TikTok accounts in this country exceeds the number of bank accounts. We must ensure that, by assisting with credit assessments and similar services, we achieve financial inclusion," Vikram remarked on Monday, December 16, 2024. He emphasized that this initiative could reach everyone in Indonesia, which is why the second platform is named 'Sahabat AI.' The final platform is 'Merdeka Cloud.' 

Regarding Merdeka Cloud, Vikram believes this platform can democratize AI for all companies. Notably, it will be supported by NVIDIA and Accenture.  

"I would like to personally thank Jensen (Founder and CEO of NVIDIA), who is with us today, for his commitment to making Indonesia a beacon for the world in terms of sovereign AI through Merdeka Cloud," Vikram stated. 

Vikram reaffirmed Indosat's commitment to empowering digital talent in Indonesia by training one million digital professionals by 2027. These young talents are expected to lead the digital revolution in the country. 

"We want to ensure that technology reaches every corner of the nation, from major cities to remote areas. No one should feel limited by their place of residence," he added. 

Vikram also highlighted Indosat's commitment to transforming the banking sector into a key pillar for Indonesia's economic development.
