Telkomsel Jaga Cita Presents Ilmupedia Berani Jawab Season 5, A Digital Quiz Competition

Telkomsel is launching its annual quiz competition, ‘Ilmupedia Berani Jawab (IBJ) Season 5’, which involves high school students from across Indonesia. This year, Telkomsel is partnering with PT Kuncie Pintar Nusantara (Kuncie) as a strategic ally in the education sector.

The competition, held online through the Ilmupedia app, has received a warm response with 16,683 participants or 5,682 teams from 2,026 schools in 366 cities across Indonesia registering from September 30 to November 15, 2024.

The event will conclude with a ceremony to announce the winners and present prizes on December 12, 2024, marking the peak of Telkomsel's efforts to support technology-based education development.

As part of the Telkomsel Jaga Cita program, which aims to strengthen an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem in Indonesia, this competition reflects Telkomsel's commitment to providing equal and quality educational access. By utilizing the latest digital technology, Telkomsel offers students the chance to enhance their skills and capabilities, fostering a more competent and competitive youth for the future.

This program is also supported by the platform ilmupedia.co.id, which provides various learning videos to aid teaching and learning processes. Additionally, there is an AI-based feature called Adeva, serving as a virtual learning assistant for students, accessible to all education stakeholders. This technology highlights Telkomsel's role in leveraging digital innovation to advance the education sector in Indonesia.

Vice President of Prepaid Consumer Marketing at Telkomsel, Tuty Rahma Afriza, stated, "As part of the Telkomsel Jaga Cita ecosystem, we hope that the Ilmupedia Berani Jawab competition can serve as a platform for young people to sharpen their skills, achieve success, and face competition that positively impacts the future of students across Indonesia."

The Ilmupedia Berani Jawab Season 5 consists of several stages designed to select the best participants, starting from elimination rounds to the finals, as follows:

Team Fight Round: Participants compete online through the Ilmupedia app to reach the Top 40 (10 teams per group) to advance to the next round.

Group Battle Round: The eight best teams that qualify will participate in the semifinal round in Jakarta from December 11-13, 2024. In this round, teams compete to be among the top four that will move on to the finals.

Final Round: The top four teams from the semifinals will compete for the championship titles on December 12, 2024. This round is the climax of the competition, determining the best team in Ilmupedia Berani Jawab Season 5.

Participants who advance to the Group Battle will be brought to Jakarta to compete for the championship and gain exclusive experiences provided by Telkomsel. The Top 8 Group Battle teams will receive an Education Savings Fund of IDR 3 million per team and a certificate. Meanwhile, the Team Fight or Top 40 teams will receive an Education Savings Fund of IDR 500,000 per team and a certificate.

At the winner announcement ceremony and award event for the 'Ilmupedia Berani Jawab Season 5' held at Ice Palace Hall, Mall Lotte Shopping Avenue on December 12, the final round champions were:

1st Place: SMAN 2 Payakumbuh, received a trophy and certificate, along with a scholarship fund of Rp20 million.

2nd Place: SMAN 1 Sukoharjo, received a trophy and certificate, along with a scholarship fund of Rp15 million.

3rd Place: SMAN 1 Sumbawa Besar, received a trophy and certificate, along with a scholarship fund of Rp10 million.
