The Minister Of Administrative And Bureaucratic Reform Encourages The Transformation Of Civil Servants Through Technology And Collaboration

, 24 Nov 2024

In the face of rapid and disruptive global changes, Civil Servants (ASN) must assume the role of transformation agents. In this context, ASN should not only act as policy implementers but also as drivers of change that are adaptive, innovative, and responsive to societal needs. This directive was conveyed by the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), Rini Widyantini, to 400 representatives from enabler, provider, and user sectors involved in the development of ASN competencies during the opening of the National Future Learning Forum 2024 at the ASN Corporate University in Jakarta on Monday, November 18.

Previously, the President had issued instructions regarding bureaucratic reform, which includes enhancing bureaucratic responsiveness, improving public services, leveraging technology, and increasing competencies. Therefore, the transformation of ASN is a crucial focus for the future, as emphasized by Minister Rini.

Furthermore, Minister Rini highlighted three strategic steps for ASN transformation: technology adaptation, cross-sector collaboration, and lifelong learning. The rapid advancement of technology necessitates that ASN master cutting-edge tools such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and other digital systems to enhance work effectiveness.

Cross-sector collaboration is essential to support inclusive development. This partnership is realized through synergy among government, private sector, NGOs, and academia.

The Minister of PANRB also underscored the importance of pentahelix collaboration, which involves government, private sector, media, academia, and the community, to establish an inclusive and sustainable learning ecosystem.

Civil Servants are encouraged to continuously learn and innovate throughout their service to the nation. They are required to adapt to the changing times.

"As part of this transformation, the government is also developing a digital service portal for Civil Servants that integrates various applications, such as SIASN, MyASN, E-Kinerja BKN, and SIBANGKOM ASN LAN. This portal will support comprehensive management of Civil Servants, from planning to recognition," stated Rini.

"The transformation of Civil Servants is a collective responsibility. Through innovation and collaboration, we can create Civil Servants capable of leading change towards the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045," Rini concluded.
