PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), the main airport operator in Indonesia, is finalizing its readiness to transfer some flights from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta to Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) in Tangerang, Banten. InJourney Airports President Director Mohammad R. Pahlevi stated in Tangerang on Tuesday that, as the main operator of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, he is ready to accommodate the Joint Operation (KSO) scheme between HLP and Soekarno-Hatta Airport. "We ensure that the infrastructure and facilities at Soekarno-Hatta Airport are ready so that the transfer of some flights can proceed as scheduled on August 1, 2025," he said. He explained that as the main operator at the two airports, InJourney Airports is prioritizing operational and service readiness to support the Ministry of Transportation's policy. "Soekarno-Hatta Airport has sufficient capacity to accommodate transfer flights from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport. We also ensure that Soekarno-Hatta Airport facilities meet service, comfort, and safety standards," he said. He explained that the facilities prepared at Soekarno-Hatta Airport for this flight transfer include airside facilities for aircraft services, takeoffs, maneuvers, parking, and storage; and landside facilities, namely terminals for passenger and cargo services, as well as commercial facilities. Preparations at Soekarno-Hatta Airport also involve relevant parties, including airlines, specifically Batik Air and Citilink, as well as ground handling operators. "Collaboration is being carried out with all airport stakeholders. We ensure that the Ministry of Transportation's policy aimed at improving public services at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport and Soekarno-Hatta Airport can be implemented smoothly and effectively," he explained. Meanwhile, InJourney Airports Operations Director Agus Haryadi stated that the airlines have already announced the number of flights to be transferred. "Several airlines, such as Batik Air and Citilink, have provided information regarding a number of flights that will depart from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to Soekarno-Hatta Airport," he said. He mentioned that InJourney Airports already has an operational plan at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which includes the readiness of Terminal 1B for Citilink operations and Terminal 2 for Batik Air operations. Currently, at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Citilink also operates from Terminal 1B and Batik Air from Terminal 2. Agus added that the capacity at these terminals is guaranteed to accommodate flight transfers while maintaining service standards for passengers. "Flight slots, or the availability of takeoff and landing times at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, are still available to serve Batik Air and Citilink transfer flights from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport," he said.
