Starting August 1, Batik Air And Citilink Flights Will Move From Halim To Soekarno-Hatta

Friday, 18 Jul 2025

Some Batik Air and Citilink flights from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (HLP) will be moved to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) starting August 1, 2025. This policy is being implemented to support improved public service quality at both airports. The Director General of Civil Aviation, Lukman F. Laisa, stated that the planned transfer has been coordinated with airline operators. "We have informed the airline operators regarding the planned transfer of flights from Halim to Soekarno-Hatta, and in principle, they have agreed," Lukman said in a press statement on Wednesday (July 16, 2025). Two national airlines, PT Batik Air Indonesia and PT Citilink Indonesia, expressed their support for this policy. Both will follow up on the process of rerouting flights from Halim to Soekarno-Hatta in accordance with regulatory directives.

To ensure smooth operations, the Ministry of Transportation has requested that all relevant parties actively disseminate information to the public. This is considered crucial to prevent confusion and complaints from prospective passengers.

"It's important for us to convey this information through all information channels so that everyone, especially prospective airline passengers, is aware of it. We also hope that prospective passengers who regularly fly from Halim will continue to follow the latest flight information," said Lukman. This move to relocate some flights is part of a strategy to reorganize domestic flight operations in the Greater Jakarta area to accommodate increasing air traffic and the need for more efficient services.
