AirAsia's Direct Flights From Jakarta To Manado Operate Seven Times A Week

Monday, 21 Jul 2025

Indonesia AirAsia officially launched a direct flight from Jakarta to Manado, North Sulawesi, on Thursday, July 17, 2025. This round-trip flight operates daily, seven times a week.

Acting President Director of Indonesia AirAsia, Captain Achmad Sadikin Abdurachman, stated that this new route makes it easier for tourists and businesspeople to explore the charm of North Sulawesi, the Land of Waving Coconuts. "It also supports tourism and economic growth in eastern Indonesia," he said at the inauguration of the Jakarta-Manado route at Terminal 1A of Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

Achmad stated that developing a domestic network is a key priority for Indonesia AirAsia, in line with the Skytrax-recognized low-cost carrier's efforts to provide equitable accessibility throughout Indonesia.

Previously, Indonesia AirAsia operated flights connecting Jakarta and Bali with Labuan Bajo, expanding connectivity to eastern Indonesia. "We believe this route will further open up opportunities for public mobility and support the Indonesian government's efforts to equalize national connectivity," said Achmad.

Expanding Connectivity

He added that the Jakarta-Manado route also expands connectivity for the Manado community through Indonesia AirAsia's Fly-Thru network. Passengers from Manado can now easily continue their journeys to various domestic destinations like Lampung, as well as international destinations like Bangkok, Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Phnom Penh, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kota Kinabalu, and Kuching, all on one integrated ticket without having to change airlines.
