The Central Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) will review the potential for opening pioneer flight routes to several areas in Central Java. This was conveyed by the Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi, when he officially reopened the Semarang-Karimunjawa flight route operated by Susi Air (4/7/2025). "This is proof of our commitment to growing the regional economy evenly. We will connect the outermost islands with flights," said Ahmad Luthfi at the Inaugural Flight event at Ahmad Yani International Airport, Semarang. Pioneer flight expansion plan in Central Java On that occasion, Ahmad Luthfi said that the Central Java Provincial Government would review the potential for opening other pioneer flight routes in various regions. Several areas such as Blora, Purbalingga, and Cilacap, which already have small airports, are the next targets for expansion. According to him, strengthening this pioneer route not only supports community mobility and logistics, but also strengthens the function of Ahmad Yani International Airport as a domestic and international connector. Including supporting the Special Hajj Adi Soemarmo International Airport in Solo, whose permit has been approved by the central government.
