Citilink airline has implemented a discount on domestic flight ticket fares as a continuation of the Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia No. 36/2025 concerning Value Added Tax on the Delivery of Domestic Scheduled Commercial Air Transportation Services in Economy Class during School Holidays Covered by the Government in 2025. Head of Corporate Secretary & CSR Division Citilink Tashia Scholz said that the implementation of this discount reduces domestic flight ticket fares by up to 5% which is valid until July 31, 2025.

This ticket price reduction, she continued, applies to various domestic routes. "For example, the Jakarta-Denpasar ticket price which was originally IDR 1,147,845 is now IDR 1,091,475. In addition, the Jakarta-Medan route which was originally IDR 1,971,909 is now IDR 1,870,995," she said through an official statement, Saturday (7/6/2025). She continued that the company fully supports the government's policy in maintaining the momentum of national economic growth by implementing a flight ticket discount policy.

Tashia added that this discount on flight tickets is also a form of Citilink's commitment to providing safe, comfortable and affordable flights for people who want to travel using air transportation during the school holidays. Citilink is always committed to ensuring that all flights run optimally by prioritizing aspects of security, safety and comfort for all customers. Meanwhile, PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk. (GIAA) expressed its full support for the government's plan to implement a flight fare discount program during the school holidays in the middle of this year. This program is considered a strategic step to expand public access to more affordable air transportation services without sacrificing quality.

Garuda Indonesia President Director, Wamildan Tsani, emphasized that Garuda is ready to be actively involved in implementing this policy, including from the operational side to adjusting fares. "We welcome this initiative as a form of cooperation between all stakeholders to ensure that connectivity between regions is maintained, especially when travel needs increase such as during the holiday season," said Wamildan in his statement, Thursday (5/6/2025). This is to support public mobility through affordable flights as part of the national responsibility.
