Komodo International Airport will serve direct flights from Labuan Bajo to Lombok starting in September 2025. This new route will be served by Wings Air. "There is a plan from Wings Air to open a new route (Labuan Bajo-Lombok). The plan is in September," said Head of the Komodo Airport Management Unit (UPBU), Ceppy Triono, Thursday (5/29/2025). Ceppy said the plan is currently being finalized, especially regarding the flight schedule. He hopes this process can be accelerated. "Hopefully it can be faster than that (September 2025). We are still trying to arrange the schedule and time," he continued. According to Ceppy, previously there had been a Labuan Bajo-Lombok flight, but it was unscheduled. With the opening of this official route, passengers will get certainty about flight times. Labuan Bajo and Lombok are two leading tourist destinations that have been given the status of super priority tourist destinations. Ceppy assessed that the presence of this route will encourage the growth of the tourism sector in both regions. "My hope is that it can support and connect between tourist destinations that are already known to the world so that our tourism can develop further," he said.
