TransNusa Airlines has upgraded its status to a Medium Service Carrier (MSC) from its previous classification as a Low Cost Carrier (LCC), effective April 25, 2025. According to the airline's official announcement, this transformation aims to enhance the comfort of its flight services. The MSC offerings include complimentary baggage allowances ranging from 20 to 30 kilograms, depending on the class and route of the flight. Additionally, passengers will receive snacks and mineral water at no extra charge on all domestic flights. TransNusa also asserts that it has introduced greater flexibility with its policies regarding flight schedule changes and cancellation and refund processes in accordance with applicable fare regulations. TransNusa was established in 2005 but ceased operations in 2020 due to the pandemic. A change in ownership and management in 2022 has revitalized the airline. Since then, TransNusa has rebranded itself as a Premium Service Carrier, committed to providing unparalleled comfort and flexibility to its customers. The airline operates flights from several major airports in Indonesia. At Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), both domestic and international flights are processed through Terminal 3, with check-in counters located at Islands D14-D22 and assistance desks at Island D. For Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA), domestic flights are handled at the Domestic Departure Terminal, with check-in counters situated at Islands B21-B23 and assistance available at Island C.
