Fly Andalas, a new airline owned by a Minang Entrepreneur will soon be flying in the Indonesian Sky and even abroad. Currently, the airline under PT. Fly Bali Indoaviasi (Fly Bali) has pocketed the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) register number 081 from the Directorate General of Air Transportation of the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation. With this certificate, Fly Bali can operate for the needs of other non-tourism industries, such as being deployed during major fires and large-bodied commercial aircraft flights. Fly Bali Founder, Harriko Fesfusi, who is familiarly known by the air name Captain Riko, explained that by pocketing this AOC certificate, his party can carry out various services or special missions outside of tourism needs such as logistics transportation by helicopter, water bombing, commercial passenger aircraft serving domestic and international routes and also private jet rental. "For example, in 2024, to overcome the fire at the Suwung Final Disposal Site (TPA) in Denpasar, a helicopter was brought in from Jakarta to extinguish the fire, because the one in Bali (the airline) did not have the capability," said the Minang Entrepreneur from Payakumbuh, Saturday (3/15/2025). Harriko said that with this AOC, Fly Bali already has its own 'flag' which is also directly proportional to the increase in service quality. Harriko added that having the AOC certificate increases Fly Bali's flexibility in focusing its operations according to the company's goals and industry needs. "And the process of Fly Bali becoming an airline or the process of Fly Bali expanding to commercial aircraft flights and private jet rentals, we are currently doing," he said enthusiastically.
