Jakarta Fashion Week 2025 Dan Buttonscarves Beauty Present MUA Search Awarding

Jakarta Fashion Week is hosting its first MUA Search, a competition aimed at finding 50 talented makeup artists to join the Beauty Team for Jakarta Fashion Week 2025. This event also seeks to discover new makeup artists who have the potential to become the future stars of Indonesia's beauty scene.

To support Indonesian makeup artists and honor those who contributed to Jakarta Fashion Week 2025, the Jakarta Fashion Week 2025 MUA Search Awarding by Buttonscarves Beauty will take place on Sunday, October 27, 2025. The event will feature notable figures from the beauty industry, renowned makeup artists, and the 50 graduates from the MUA Search program.

During the MUA Search Awarding, Andandika Surasetja, the Creative Director of Jakarta Fashion Week 2025, highlighted that there were 1,700 makeup looks showcased this year, made possible by the creativity and hard work of the Beauty Team with support from Buttonscarves Beauty.

Meanwhile, Linda Anggrea, CEO of Buttonscarves Beauty, expressed in her speech that she views the makeup artist profession as noble and hopes that Indonesian makeup artists can stand alongside their international counterparts.

One way that I and Buttonscarves Beauty support Indonesian makeup artists in their growth is by providing the best makeup products we can create, she added.

Linda also appreciates Jakarta Fashion Week 2025 for being more inclusive this year by involving deaf friends from Perempuan Tangguh Indonesia, a foundation focused on empowering people with disabilities, as makeup artists in the Beauty Team. Four deaf individuals contributed their skills to apply makeup on models at Jakarta Fashion Week 2025, showcasing creativity on par with other makeup artists.

The Jakarta Fashion Week 2025 MUA Search Awarding by Buttonscarves Beauty features two award sessions. The first session is the MUA Award, which honors 10 Indonesian makeup artists who have excelled in various events, including weddings, commercials, editorials, fashion, and more.

Ten makeup artists received the following awards:  

- Lifetime Achievement Award: Bennu Sorumba  

- Flawless Beauty Master Award: Ryan Ogilvy  

- Trendsetter MUA Award: Marlene Hariman  

- Creative Makeup Trailblazer Award: Bubah Alfian  

- Innovative Makeup Artistry Award: Franky Wu  

- Breakthrough Artist Award: Danny Barca  

- Makeup Style Innovator: Leo Afandi  

- Rising Star Innovator Award: Aditya Vagueskin  

- Influencer MUA of the Year: Andaws  

- Fashion Show Makeup Master Award: Qiqi Franky  

The award ceremony continued with the Beauty Award session. In this part, three top makeup artists were announced from a selection of 50 in the MUA Search. The winners are Siti Mahmudah, Alber Guswan, and Bella Feryana. They received this award for their productivity and creativity during Jakarta Fashion Week 2025.
