The Indonesian Post
Judydoll, a well-known makeup brand from Shanghai, has officially launched in Indonesia at the Jakarta x Beauty (JxB) 2024 event. With over 60 SKU in various makeup categories, including its viral products like Iron Mascara and more than 20 shades of blush on, Judydoll has become a global sensation on social media. By introducing 60 products at once in this launch, Judydoll is one of the first brands to enter Indonesia with the largest product catalog. Furthermore, all of these products are already certified by BPOM. Clarissa Merry, Marketing Manager of Judydoll Indonesia, explained, "We are thrilled and proud to be the first Chinese makeup brand to operate fully in Indonesia with our own entity, while also complying with all applicable regulations in Indonesia. Prior to this launch, the Judydoll team conducted in-depth market research in Indonesia. We spoke with hundreds of Indonesian consumers, KOLs, and retailers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the unique needs and culture of Indonesian consumers. On this special occasion, we are offering over 60 makeup products with a variety of color options, including our globally viral products like Iron Mascara and Iron Lip Gloss. Indonesian consumers can now purchase all certified BPOM Judydoll products from our official online stores on Shopee and Shop Tokopedia." Judydoll is the best-selling local makeup brand in China based on sales volume in 2023. Widely known for its innovation, many Judydoll products come with patented features, such as the viral metal applicator in Iron Mascara and Iron Lip Gloss. In its debut launch in Indonesia, Judydoll offers a range of options from other innovative products, such as Slim Liquid Eyeliner, Highlight and Contour Palette, and more than 20 shades of solid blush on. Besides offering a variety of products, Judydoll is also committed to contributing to the beauty industry in Indonesia. As a first step, Judydoll has taken a series of initiatives to get closer to beauty enthusiasts in Indonesia. "We see a high interest from Indonesian consumers in Douyin and C-Beauty makeup trends. To share insights about the Douyin trend, we have organized various fun activities. Last month, we invited a number of Indonesian beauty influencers to our headquarters in Shanghai. There, they met with our R&D team, created blush on at the innovation center, held a TikTok Live session in our studio, and of course tried products at Judydoll's offline store. Through this opportunity, they could experience firsthand the process Judydoll goes through to create cutting-edge innovations," said Clarissa. Clarice, one of the beauty influencers who joined the trip to Shanghai, shared her experience. "I first got to know Judydoll because of their viral Iron Mascara on social media. That's why I was very interested in joining the trip to Shanghai with Judydoll. The most memorable experience was learning about TikTok Live in China. TikTok Live is trending in Indonesia, but the live sessions by Judydoll on TikTok China really amazed me. The equipment used, the way they strategize content, everything was truly advanced and inspired me to step out of my comfort zone in creating makeup education content." Meanwhile, another beauty influencer, DillaJaidi, shared her experience of making blush on her own in Judydoll's laboratory. "Their laboratory work is very advanced, something I had never imagined before. It usually takes quite a while for a brand to conduct product research."
