After an 18-year hiatus, the legendary band Tiket has reunited and is prepared to entertain fans with the original lineup and a fresh perspective. Bassist Opet Alatas expressed that this reunion is a surprising development that they had never anticipated. "In truth, it feels like fate has brought us back together. None of us ever imagined this would happen. For 18 years, we did not intentionally meet to discuss music; our encounters were mostly coincidental at performances," Opet stated to ANTARA during a visit to the ANTARA Heritage Center in Pasar Baru, Jakarta, on Thursday, September 26. Opet further noted that the COVID-19 pandemic served as a catalyst for the members of Tiket to begin communicating via WhatsApp, ultimately paving the way for their reunion after such a long separation. The year 2022 marked a turning point when the members finally convened and spent time together at Brian's rehearsal studio, the drummer. "As we began to jam, we realized how exhilarating the process was. We felt there was potential that needed to be nurtured," stated Opet. They subsequently agreed to re-record their popular song, "Hanya Kamu yang Bisa," as a preliminary step in their new journey. Brian later shared photos of the band Tiket on social media, which received an overwhelming response from fans, generating a palpable energy and excitement. Now, after two years of reconvening, the members of Tiket feel that their energy and enthusiasm remain intact. With renewed vigor and high hopes, the band Tiket is prepared to continue their musical journey and deliver their best performances for their loyal fans. Furthermore, the band Tiket has made a comeback, surprising fans with the release of their latest song titled "Ga Mau." This song encapsulates a significant moment following heartbreak, representing a decision to move on and leave behind the lingering pain.
