The Asia Pacific cross-country strategic alliance was officially formed at the inaugural launch of Accelerating Transformation & Linkage for Advancing Startups (ATLAS) at the Asia MirAI Day 2025 event.

ATLAS is a collaborative movement that unites leading startup ecosystem drivers from Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, with a vision of strengthening regional cooperation and encouraging cross-border innovation in the Asia Pacific region.

The four leading startup ecosystem drivers in Asia Pacific who founded ATLAS are Kumpul (Indonesia), TechShake (Philippines), Techsauce (Thailand), and InnoLab Asia (Vietnam).

Faye Wongso, Chairperson of Kumpul and co-founding member of ATLAS, in a statement received by detikINET said that the event brought together ecosystem drivers, startup companies, and investors from various countries to explore market expansion opportunities throughout Asia Pacific and Japan.

"Amidst Asia's changing role in the global economy, Kumpul continues to place education and ecosystem development as its main foundation. We believe that collaboration is the main fuel to accelerate real transformation," said Faye, in a statement received by detikINET, Tuesday (3/6/2025).

Through the ATLAS initiative, we build strategic collaborations that pave the way for local founders to reach opportunities at the global level. This is part of our commitment to strengthening the entrepreneurial spirit in Asia Pacific and fostering a more inclusive and impact-oriented global business landscape," he added.

Each of the founding startup ecosystem drivers of ATLAS has a track record of more than a decade in supporting startup growth, accelerating innovation adoption, and facilitating collaboration between business players, investors, corporations, and policymakers in Asia Pacific. The inauguration of ATLAS was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the founding members as a symbol of their shared commitment to shaping the future of innovation in Asia Pacific.

The signing of the MoU was represented by Faye Wongso, Founder & Chairperson, Kumpul, Kotaro Adachi, Co-Founder & CEO, TechShake, Oranuch (Mimee) Lerdsuwankij, Co-Founder & CEO, Techsauce, and Cong-Thang Huynh, Co-Founder & CEO, InnoLab Asia. ATLAS is open to collaborating with global stakeholders who share a similar vision in shaping the future of innovation in Asia Pacific. In carrying out its mission, ATLAS will hold various initiatives such as conferences, strategic meetings, and delegation visits in the Asia Pacific region.

They will also produce research and strategic thinking to guide the development of the regional ecosystem, to running the Global Market Access Acceleration Program, to help startups enter and grow in international markets. In the early stages of ATLAS's establishment, the founding members of ATLAS formed the ATLAS Alliance Committee which was tasked with setting strategic directions and developing a roadmap for the alliance's growth. Then, in the second stage starting in the second quarter of 2025, it will open opportunities for collaboration and membership with institutions or organizations that have a similar vision and meet the membership criteria.
