The Chairman of the Indonesia Business Council (IBC), Arsjad Rasjid, stated that the collaboration between Indonesia and China is also related to technology transfer. During a bilateral meeting at the Merdeka Palace, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang brought along dozens of entrepreneurs to meet with the President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto. Arsjad noted that the presence of these Chinese entrepreneurs could be effectively utilized by Indonesia for the long term. "This is a brotherhood that must be established, where, as we have aimed, it is not just about investment here, but also about people-to-people connections," he told reporters at the Presidential Palace on Sunday (25/5). Through this meeting, Arsjad indicated that the cooperation among business actors is no longer limited to mere financial investment. He mentioned that currently, collaboration is also widely open through the transfer of knowledge and technology. "Money is one aspect, capital. However, what is more important is the transfer of knowledge and technology, discussing closer cultural relationships, people to people. Therefore, it should not be viewed as a short-term perspective, but rather a long-term one," he explained. He emphasized that in the midst of rapid global development, the transfer of knowledge and technology has become a necessity and is not limited to China alone. "Not only from China, but from all who wish to engage with us. This must be fulfilled. Because if not, there will never be a transfer of knowledge from them to us," Arsjad stated. Previously, President Prabowo Subianto welcomed the official state visit of Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Sunday morning. This meeting represents the commitment of both countries to strengthen and enhance the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and China, as well as to reinforce cooperation in various strategic fields.
