Batik Air Returns To Serve Jakarta–Padang Route Starting Today, May 12, 2025

Batik Air resumes operating direct flight routes from Minangkabau International Airport, Padang, to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta, starting Monday, May 12, 2025. This flight is operated daily with a frequency of seven times a week. Batik Air Corporate Communications Strategic Danang Mandala Prihantoro said that flights from Jakarta to Padang are served by flight number ID-6814 which departs at 06.30 WIB and arrives at 08.15 WIB. Conversely, flights from Padang to Jakarta use flight number ID-6815 which is scheduled to depart at 08.55 WIB and arrive at 10.45 WIB. "We are optimistic that this service will further expand connectivity between regions and support the growth of the economic and tourism sectors nationally," said Danang, Monday (12/5/2025).  

The reopening of this route adds air mobility options for the people of West Sumatra, especially business people and travelers who need fast and comfortable connectivity to various regions in Indonesia. The Jakarta-Padang route is one of the favorite routes because it provides schedule flexibility and easy onward connections to more than 35 domestic and international destinations through the Batik Air hub in Soekarno-Hatta. Several domestic cities that can be accessed onward include Semarang, Solo, Surabaya, Malang, Bali, Lombok, and Labuan Bajo. Meanwhile, for international routes, connections are available to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Bangkok Don Mueang. The fleet used for this service is the latest generation Airbus A320-200 with a configuration of 12 business class seats and 144 economy class seats. The facilities in the cabin are ergonomically designed to support the comfort of short and long-distance travel.
