Indonesia has officially been designated as the host for the AFF U-23 Championship 2025, which is scheduled to take place from July 13 to July 31.

According to the official PSSI website on Saturday, the AFF U-23 Championship 2025 is expected to feature 12 countries divided into three groups, with the draw set to occur on Friday, May 30, in Jakarta.

PSSI has selected Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta and Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium in Bekasi as the venues for the 2025 U-23 Asian Cup.

In the previous AFF U-23 Championship held in Thailand, Indonesia finished as the runner-up after losing to Vietnam in a penalty shootout during the final match.

Additionally, the qualification rounds for the 2026 U-23 Asian Cup are scheduled to take place from September 1 to September 9.

Currently, PSSI has submitted a bid to host the event and is preparing Gelora Delta Stadium in Sidoarjo, East Java, as the competition venue. The AFC is expected to announce the host for the 2026 U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers by the end of April, with the draw taking place in June.

The qualification rounds for the 2026 U-23 Asian Cup will be organized into several groups, each containing four to five teams. The final tournament is set to be held in Saudi Arabia from January 7 to January 25, 2026.

The U-23 national team, under the guidance of coach Gerald Vanenburg, is preparing diligently to achieve the best possible results in these competitions.

In addition to these two tournaments, PSSI has also proposed to host the ASEAN U-16 Girls Championship 2025 and the qualification for the 2026 U-17 Women’s Asian Cup. Semarang, Kudus, and Pati have been designated by PSSI to host the ASEAN U-16 Girls Championship 2025, while Kudus will serve as the venue for the qualification rounds of the U-17 Women’s Asian Cup.
