Thursday, 16 Jan 2025

Raline Shah has been appointed as a special staff member to the Minister of Communication and Information Technology. This raises questions about her career in the entertainment industry—will she retire or continue her pursuits?

When asked about this matter, the star of the film 5CM clarified that she does not intend to abandon the artistic realm that has contributed to her fame.

However, her priorities have shifted, which may result in a reduced commitment to her entertainment career

"My working hours are clearly defined, so I can still manage my time, even though my current priority is greater in this position," Raline Shah stated, as reported by CNN Indonesia on Monday, January 13, 2025.

She mentioned that her involvement in the entertainment sector will differ from what it was previously.

"Perhaps the capacity will simply be different," she added.

Raline Shah has already prepared several work programs that involve partnerships with private companies and foreign governments, including those in Singapore and India.

"The collaborations will focus on telecommunications and digital sectors," Raline Shah further explained. However, she admitted that she cannot disclose specific details of these programs yet, as they are pending final approval.

"Once everything is approved and we have a date, I will definitely share it. I appreciate your support," she concluded with her characteristic smile.

Before entering the acting world, Raline was crowned Miss Indonesia Sumatera Utara in 2008, where she achieved the title of 3rd Runner Up.

Her career gained momentum with the film 5CM (2012) and continued to flourish with various roles in films such as 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa, Surga yang Tak Dirindukan, and Orang Kaya Baru. Additionally, she has made appearances at international events like the Cannes Film Festival.

As a special staff member, Raline aims to make a tangible impact, particularly in digital education for the community. She hopes that children and mothers in Indonesia will become more discerning in their use of the internet and digital devices.

"I aspire to help create a more informed society regarding technology, and I will strive to excel in this role," she concluded.
