The Batulicin Festival 2024 Is Set To Take Place, Serving As A Harmonious Celebration Of Music While Simultaneously Acting As A Catalyst For Local Economic Growth

The Batulicin Festival 2024, also known as Batfest 2024, is set to return with the theme "Harmony in Building the Nation," promising to entertain the people of South Kalimantan from December 27 to December 31, 2024. 

This festival will feature a blend of entertainment, culture, and economic empowerment, spanning five consecutive days and showcasing 18 national bands leading up to the New Year celebration. 

Ghimoyo, the CEO of Jhonlin Group, the main sponsor, stated that this year's theme was chosen to reflect the diversity of music and the spirit of togetherness. 

"Batfest has always been a popular entertainment event that is warmly welcomed. In 2022, it attracted 65,000 visitors, and in 2023, the number rose to 85,000," he explained during a press conference in Jakarta.  

Show Director Inet Leimana elaborated that the festival is designed to offer varied entertainment. "Batfest presents the best performers from different eras. This is our moment to celebrate after the year 2024 and to welcome 2025 with renewed enthusiasm," he remarked. 

The event will feature a lineup of renowned artists, including: 

Rhoma Irama & Soneta, Juicy Lucy, Sal Priadi, NDX AKA, Wali Band, Mansyur S, Dewa 19 featuring Virzha, Mulan Jameela, Setia Band, and many more. 

In addition to musical entertainment, Batfest 2024 will serve as a platform for local economic development, involving over 200 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and 718 street vendors. Liana Saputri, the Executive Producer of Batfest 2024, emphasized that empowering SMEs is a crucial aspect of this festival. 

"Each year, we strive to enhance the role of SMEs through bazaars, exhibitions, and culinary festivals. This year, we are also hosting the Batfair Expo, Batfair Jobfair, and talk shows aimed at helping SMEs advance," she stated. 

Batfest will also feature a series of exciting activities and attractive prizes, including traditional and modern games, a healthy walk with a chance to win an Umrah pilgrimage for up to 30,000 participants, and a 20-minute fireworks display to celebrate the New Year.
