PT Zurich General Takaful Indonesia (Zurich Syariah) has announced today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Leadership of Muhammadiyah. This strategic partnership aims to enhance social empowerment programs, develop economic and financial education based on Islamic principles, and provide health insurance for the Muhammadiyah community across Indonesia. Hilman Simanjuntak, the President Director of PT Zurich General Takaful Indonesia, stated, “This collaboration is a significant step in supporting the growth of the Islamic economy and the welfare of the community. We believe that working with Muhammadiyah will bring lasting benefits, especially in improving financial education and access to health protection.” To show its commitment, Zurich Syariah is contributing IDR 1 billion to support collaborative programs designed with Muhammadiyah. This funding will be directed towards education and economic empowerment, particularly in Islamic finance, to help create a more self-sufficient and economically prosperous community. Hilman Lathief, the General Treasurer of Muhammadiyah, welcomed this partnership, saying, “We appreciate the collaboration with Zurich Syariah as a concrete step in supporting community empowerment and Islamic economic education. This partnership not only strengthens Muhammadiyah's role in enhancing Islamic financial literacy but also provides health protection access to a broader community.” PT Zurich General Takaful Indonesia (Zurich Syariah) is licensed and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
