Ricky added that these awards serve as a motivation for Maybank Indonesia to continue improving its performance and implementing the M25+ Maybank Group strategy, which focuses on Islamic solutions and becoming an ESG leader in the ASEAN region to support sustainable growth.

The Euromoney Islamic Finance Award 2024 is a global-level recognition given to Islamic/Sharia financial institutions. Organized for over 30 years, these awards are known for their independent curation of various global banking achievements.

The Euromoney Islamic Finance Award is evaluated by a panel of journalists and researchers from Euromoney.

The assessment process is very transparent with predetermined main criteria, one of which is the achievements that will be curated by the Euromoney panel. In addition to submissions received from banks, they also conduct research based on information in the market, similar industries, and listen to the opinions of industry players involved.

This achievement is also the result of a strong collaboration between Maybank Indonesia and its strategic partners. The Director of Operations, Digital, and Information Technology at Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), Sunar Basuki, said, "As a country with a majority Muslim population, the potential for Sharia financing in Indonesia is huge. We express our gratitude to all parties who have supported PNM up to now. This certainly motivates us to continue contributing to Sharia financing in Indonesia."

Meanwhile, the Director of Finance and HR at PT PLN Batam, PardameanMatondang, explained, "We are proud to be part of this internationally recognized collaboration. We hope that the cooperation between PT PLN Batam and Maybank Indonesia can make a significant contribution to sustainable development, especially in the energy transition to drive the economy in Indonesia."
