PT Pertamina Marine Engineering (PME), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), is boosting its docking services and ship spare parts supply through a collaboration with Pelindo Jasa Maritim's subsidiary, PT Jasa Peralatan Pelabuhan Indonesia (JPPI). This partnership will cover services like Docking Repair and Emergency Repair for ships, sourcing Engine and Propulsion System spare parts, providing Consumable Parts and other materials, as well as offering expert manpower. The collaboration was officially marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) by PME's Director, Heri Santika, and JPPI's President Director, Budi Pratomo, at PTK's headquarters in Jakarta on August 12. The signing was also witnessed by PTK's President Director, I Ketut Laba, and Pelindo Jasa Maritim's Strategy & Commercial Director, Yossianis Marciano. Heri Santika mentioned that this partnership aims to strengthen state-owned enterprise synergies and explore new business opportunities that will enhance the quality and competitiveness of docking services and ship spare parts procurement. The collaboration focuses on mutual benefits based on good corporate governance principles, aiming to deliver innovative and high-standard solutions in the maritime industry. "We plan to leverage each company's expertise to refine the docking process and spare parts supply. We believe this collaboration will elevate service standards and support innovative and effective growth in the maritime sector," said Heri Santika. Budi Pratomo, JPPI's President Director, noted that this partnership is a strategic move for JPPI to expand its market share and strengthen synergies among state-owned enterprise subsidiaries, considering that both JPPI and PME are affiliates of two major state-owned companies in Indonesia, PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero). At the same location, the CEO of PTK praised PME for teaming up with JPPI as a strategic partner in the docking business and spare parts supply. "This collaboration between PME and JPPI can also broaden the captive and non-captive markets for both companies. We believe that this synergy will create new opportunities and enhance service quality in the maritime industry," I Ketut Laba concluded.
