PT Pertamina Marine Solutions (PMSol), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), is expanding its business through the signing of a strategic cooperation or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two Manning Agency companies from Malaysia. Manning Agency is a ship crewing agency that supports various operations, both onshore and offshore. On this occasion, PMSol is collaborating with Perkapalan Maju Borneo Sdn.Bhd (PMB) and Varia Armada Sdn.Bhd (VAR). The signing was done by representatives of PMSol, namely; Manager Crewing Offshore PMSol Capt. Budi Wahyu Syafitra, Director of PMB Awang Shapian Bin Awang Sulong, and Director of VAR Anual Bis Ismail, directly in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, last Tuesday. Director of PMSol Dian Prama Irfani said that this strategic cooperation includes the provision and management of ship crews operated by PTK in Malaysian waters. This, she said, opens up opportunities for PMSol to introduce internationally standardized ship crews to compete in the global market. "This collaboration is a form of collaboration between Malaysian and Indonesian ship crews, which can enhance the capacity of crews to compete in the international shipping world," said Irfani, on Friday (26/7). She added that this cooperation is also an important step in PMSol's journey towards the vision and mission of the Company becoming an international-scale company. This is in line with the increasing demand in the global maritime market for ship crew supplies. "This opens up new opportunities for us to further develop our business network on a global level. We hope this will be the beginning of a series of other strategic partnerships, both domestically and internationally," she explained. Director of PMB Awang Shapian Bin Awang Sulong stated that the company is committed to supporting PMSol in penetrating the international market scene. PMSol, a subsidiary of PTK, is part of the Integrated Marine Logistic (IML) Subholding of PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS). With over 30 years of experience, PMSol manages more than 5,000 workers including ship crews and onshore staff.
