The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli announced that the wage subsidy assistance (BSU) for phase I has been distributed to 2,450,068 workers as of today, Tuesday (24/6), out of a total of 3,697,836 recipients. During a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday, the Menaker explained that the distribution process is carried out through Himbara banks, namely BNI, BRI, BTN, and Mandiri, while for BSI, it is specifically for BSU recipients residing in Aceh, with a subsidy amounting to Rp600 thousand per worker. "The remaining 1,247,768 are still in process," he stated. He conveyed that for the distribution of BSU phase II, his office has received data from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan indicating 4.5 million potential recipients, and it is currently undergoing verification and validation. Yassierli elaborated that the BSU program is one of five economic stimulus packages aimed at reaching 17 million workers or laborers. The BSU for 2025 is set at Rp300 thousand per month per worker or laborer, to be provided for two months and paid in a lump sum, resulting in a total of Rp600 thousand for each worker or laborer. The requirements for BSU recipients include being an Indonesian citizen, as evidenced by the possession of a NIK, and being an active participant in the social security program for employment under BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, with active status up to April 2025. The next requirement is to receive a salary or wage not exceeding Rp3,500,000 per month, or at most the minimum wage set by the district or city, or the provincial minimum wage for districts or cities that do not establish it. This BSU is excluded for civil servants (ASN), TNI/Polri personnel, and is prioritized for workers or laborers who are not currently receiving the Family Hope Program (PKH). Regulations regarding BSU have been established through the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) No. 5 of 2025 concerning Amendments to the Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 10 of 2022 regarding Guidelines for Providing Government Assistance in the Form of Wage Subsidies for Workers/Laborers.
