If last year the satisfaction rate was at 89 percent, this year it has risen to 90.5 percent. I am grateful to all parties who have supported the smooth flow of homecoming travel and hopefully we can continue to synergize for the transportation sector in the country," the Minister explained.

The Minister added that President Jokowi has been closely monitoring and providing guidance regarding the organization of homecoming travel to the Ministry of Transportation and other stakeholders, especially the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. As a result, from the evaluation and meetings that have been conducted together, three strategic initiatives have emerged that are claimed to be able to boost the level of public satisfaction with the organization of homecoming travel in the future."For your information, there are three major things that will be done. First, increasing the number of rest areas in many places. Second, revitalizing the Bojonegara Port, where the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing has agreed to create an entrance road so that trucks do not directly head to Merak. And third, the utilization of the On Board Unit (OBU) which is an automatic toll payment mechanism, where vehicles can pass through directly without having to stop at the toll gate.
