Toyota is reportedly preparing a new SUV called the Land Cruiser FJ. This model is scheduled for global release between April and June 2026. This car is said to be a smaller and more affordable version of the Fortuner, which is why many have nicknamed it the "Mini Fortuner." Its design features a retro style reminiscent of the Land Cruiser of old: a boxy body, a flat roof, and a rugged appearance. The Land Cruiser FJ is built on the same platform as the Toyota Hilux Rangga sold in Indonesia. This means the FJ is prepared for tough terrain and is suitable for bumpy roads. Leaked design images show the front of the car featuring C-shaped LED daytime running lights, a vertical grille, and a muscular body. At the rear, the lights are also large and boxy, with body protection ornaments for added off-road capability. Toyota hasn't announced the official engine options yet, but there will reportedly be several options: 1.5-liter diesel 2.8-liter diesel with mild-hybrid technology (fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly) 2.0-liter and 2.7-liter gasoline The 2.7-liter engine produces around 163 PS and is the strongest candidate.
