Suzuki's retail car sales in Indonesia throughout May 2025 showed positive performance. PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) noted that 81 percent of the total units sold were domestically produced cars such as Carry, XL7, Ertiga, and APV. This achievement strengthens the company's position as an automotive industry player that consistently builds local manufacturing independence and encourages national economic sustainability. "The dominance of 81 percent of locally assembled vehicles in retail sales throughout May 2025 is not just an indicator of market success, consumer confidence is an appreciation of the hard work of thousands of local workers and the involvement of hundreds of supporting companies that are part of the supply chain," explained Dept. Head of 4W Sales PT SIS, Randy R. Murdoko, through his official statement. In total, Suzuki's retail sales grew 11 percent compared to the previous month. The main contributor is still Carry, followed by XL7 and Ertiga. These three models are popular thanks to their fuel efficiency, high durability, and features that suit the needs of the Indonesian people, from micro entrepreneurs to young families. In addition to playing a role in the domestic market, these leading models are also part of the export expansion to more than 70 countries. Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America are shipping destinations, emphasizing Indonesia's important role in the global strategy. In supporting a sustainable automotive ecosystem, the Japanese brand also strengthens after-sales services through 302 dealer networks and 217 authorized workshops throughout Indonesia. The presence of this network not only increases customer satisfaction, but also provides an economic impact through job creation and empowerment of local resources.
