BYD Fang Cheng Bao Tai 7 Teaser Circulating, Here's A Little Leak

BYD has shared the first teaser image of its new energy SUV, the Fang Cheng Bao Tai 7. The vehicle is aimed at families who enjoy outdoor activities. The Tai 7 was previously spotted in China during a road test. Fang Cheng Bao (FCB) is a brand under BYD that focuses on the off-road SUV segment. Its current model line consists of two lines.  

The first is called Bao. This line consists of heavy off-road vehicles with plug-in hybrid engines such as the Bao 5 and Bao 8 (often referred to as the Leopard 5 and Leopard 8). The second series is Tai. This line is aimed at families. Currently, the only Tai model available on the market is the Tai 3 electric SUV. However, BYD has teased the next model in the Tai lineup on June 7. On June 7, FCB shared a teaser image of the unnamed SUV. CarNewsChina identified the vehicle as the Tai 7 SUV that was previously spotted during a road test. The model has a sturdy body shape with a flat roofline and a spare wheel on the rear door that can be swung out.  

The Tai 7 has a high bonnet line, traditional door handles and large side mirrors. The interior of the family car is in line with other FCB models. Previously, unofficial renderings of the Fang Cheng Bao Tai 7 were shared online. An amateur designer envisioned the model as an alternative to the previously launched Bao 8 SUV. It seems that the official design of the new model will be more unique.
