After two years of being absent from the market, Daihatsu's legendary kei car, Move, has finally officially returned. This new model, which is the seventh generation, comes with a total change, carrying the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA) platform. Quoted from Carscoops, the new Daihatsu Move now comes with sliding doors with an electric system and a touch key system. The exterior design of the Daihatsu Move is now slimmer with thin headlights, a friendly grill, and a sporty front bumper. The side profile looks sharper with bold character lines and side glass that surrounds the cabin. The rear features smaller L-shaped taillights, slightly curved rear glass, and fake triangular vents on the bumper, and provides a cleaner and more modern look. The interior of the Daihatsu Move has also undergone a total refresh. In fact, this Japanese brand offers a choice of a 10-inch navigation system, and an audio system with a 9-inch screen, both of which are compatible with Apple CarPlat and Android Auto. Daihatsu Move Engine Specifications Modern features such as electric parking brakes and auto brake hold functions are also embedded to improve driving comfort. While the driving heart, Daihatsu Move RS, as the highest variant, is equipped with a 660cc turbocharged engine that produces 63 hp and 92 Nm of torque. This engine is combined with a CVT transmission and front-wheel drive system. In terms of safety, the latest generation Move is equipped with "Next Generation Smart Assist" as standard. This system includes a stereo camera that can detect pedestrians and vehicles in front, as well as features such as collision warning, emergency braking, lane deviation prevention control, and traffic sign recognition.
