Not Only Electric Cars, Bahlil Reveals The Government's Plan To Develop An Ecosystem For Electric Motorcycles

As a step towards substituting fuel and supporting the energy transition, Bahlil announced the development of a battery ecosystem that has primarily focused on cars, which will now be expanded to include motorcycles, considering the significant number of motorcycles in Indonesia. 

He informed that the funding for the project will come from a national entity, Danantara. Bahlil also emphasized the government's commitment to maintaining majority ownership of the project under state control, in accordance with President Prabowo's directive, which he referred to as the "red and white" project. 

Another key focus is the development of the electric vehicle battery industry ecosystem, which is expected to be an important step towards achieving national industrial independence.
