Sales Boom, Motul Indonesia Ready To Present Various New Products In 2025

In the midst of the sluggish national automotive market, Motul Indonesia was able to break the sales record. This was conveyed by Welmart Purba as National Sales Director of PT Motul Indonesia Energy (MIE) in a joint breaking of the fast event recently. 

"Motul's performance in the first quarter was actually beyond expectations, Motul Indonesia became the top country performer in Asia Pacific. Our sales last February were one of the highest sales in the history of Motul Indonesia and this month (March) our sales are approaching that record," he explained in the Ampera area, South Jakarta. 

Without mentioning the number in detail, he claimed that the largest contribution to Motul lubricant sales came from products in the two-wheeled vehicle segment. 

"Currently, the largest contribution from motorcycle oil products is 75 percent, the remaining car oil is 25 percent. And the growth of car oil is also one of the largest in the first quarter," explained Welmart. 

He further said that presenting new products is part of Motul Indonesia's strategy to maintain this positive trend. 

"Incidentally, Motul is known for having innovations in its products. One of Motul's competitive advantages is that it is difficult for competitors to copy, namely its complete product range. Motul has a tendency to complete products in very niche segments," explained Welmart. 

"Our product range in two wheels is 88 products, compared to competitors who only have 20 products. In four wheels, it is more or less the same," he added. 

He also emphasized that a variety of new lubricant products for car and motorcycle engines will be presented this year. 

"This year we will bring Motul Trd in the four-wheeled segment with 5W-30 specifications, then we will also bring products that target the low affordable segment or Eco Segment," said Welmart. 

"In two wheels, we will launch the GP Series. This is our product in collaboration with MotoGP. So Motul is the only one that has a product range that can be endorsed and approved by MotoGP, so we have the names GP Matic, GP Power, and GP Ultimate," he continued. 

"These will likely be the first three products, but there is a possibility of more depending on how well the market accepts them," he continued.
