Volkswagen Indonesia Plans To Open Dealership

PT Garuda Mataram Motor, the sole agent for the Volkswagen (VW) brand, is considering business expansion along with the company's plan to open a VW dealer this year. 

"Yes, we have plans to open a new dealer this year," said Ahmad Badawi, Head of Sales & Marketing Garuda Mataram Motor when met by swa.co.id in Jakarta, Thursday (3/13/2025). 

Garuda Mataram Motor management is currently reviewing the number and location of the VW dealers. Currently, Badawi continued, his party is still focusing on organizing The Buzz Point during the month of Ramadan. 

"The Buzz Point is not just an ordinary roadshow. We want to present a closer and more personal experience to the public, where they can get to know ID. BUZZ in their daily lives," he said. 

Garuda Mataram Motor launched the VW electric car in Indonesia, namely the ID Buzz Long Wheelbase at the 2025 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). The All-Electric ID. Buzz Long Wheelbase is a modern interpretation of Volkswagen's classic icon, the Volkswagen Kombi. 

To maximize sales, Garuda Mataram Motor is rolling out The Buzz Point program in Jakarta. The purpose of The Buzz Point is to provide an opportunity for customers to experience firsthand the excellence of Volkswagen's iconic EV Van.
