IIMS 2025 Transactions Reach IDR 8 Trillion

The 2025 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) automotive exhibition was a success, recording total transactions reaching IDR 8 trillion during the 11-day event. President Director of Dyandra Promosindo Daswar Marpaung said that the achievement of the IIMS exhibition was a sign that the automotive world in Indonesia was starting to move in a positive direction again. "With this achievement, we are optimistic about seeing the movement of the automotive world in Indonesia moving in a positive direction throughout this year," said Daswar, in a written statement quoted on Monday (3/3/2025). He said that based on official data received by the organizers from brand reports, IIMS 2025 recorded the number of vehicle units sold based on Vehicle Order Letter (SPK) data during the 11-day event was 22,322 units. According to him, this figure is still possible to increase along with the recapitulation of several brands that are still ongoing. 

Daswar said that amid the increasing trend in total sales, this year's data showed a slight decline in the EV Motorcycle category, aka electric motorbikes, with the SPK figure for this category decreasing by 21 percent. 

The decline has been observed by the organizers and electric motorcycle companies, considering the number of EV Motorcycle brand participants has decreased. Another cause is the EV policy stimulus for two-wheeled vehicles that has not been implemented during the IIMS 2025 exhibition period. However, this exhibition still attracts a lot of public interest to visit. This can be seen from the number of visitors during the 11 days which reached 579,337 people or an increase of 3 percent compared to the 2024 event. "The achievement of IIMS 2025 is the result of extraordinary collaboration between the government, Brand Holder Agents (APM), sponsors, associations, communities, media, and of course automotive enthusiasts," said Daswar. Meanwhile, IIMS 2025 Project Manager Rudi MF highlighted the importance of thorough preparation to produce a strategy for a series of programs and authentic content presented to provide added value to an automotive exhibition. "We are committed to continuing to present innovations and authentic programs every year, so that IIMS remains the most interesting automotive exhibition and has a place in the hearts of the people," explained Rudi. In addition to being an automotive transaction event, IIMS 2025 also presents various authentic entertainment, attraction, and charity programs. 

These programs include the IIMS Infinite Show and IIMS Infinite Live, a parade of classic and modified vehicles, the Miss IIMS contest for the Usher brands participating in the exhibition, IIMS Drift, IIMS Gokart, IIMS Flying Car and IIMS Burn Out attractions, Satmori and Sunmori riding, IIMS Student Charity Day, Special Guest Car and IIMS Special Guest. There are also a number of talk shows with experts and practitioners in the automotive industry to the tourism industry, including exploration of the maritime and marina industries through the Indonesia Boating Gathering.
