Jetour To Build 30 New Dealers In Indonesia This Year, Market ICE And Electrified Cars

Thursday, 20 Feb 2025

Jetour made its first appearance at a major automotive exhibition in Indonesia, the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025. At the show, the new car brand from China launched several products for the Indonesian market.

In addition to the introduction of new products, Jetour was also present at IIMS 2025 to ensure its expansion in the domestic automotive market. At IIMS 2025, Jetour guarantees that it will seriously work on the four-wheeled market in Indonesia with a variety of products from Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) to electrification-based ones.

In addition, Sales & Network Director of PT Jetour Motor Indonesia, Michael Budihardja in a discussion at the IIMS 2025 arena on Monday (17/2) also said that this year his party would open many new showrooms and dealerships in Indonesia.

Michael stated that in 2025, Jetour together with its distribution partners in Indonesia will open as many as 30 new dealerships. The locations vary, from Java to Bali, then Kalimantan and Riau Islands, will certainly have Jetour dealers.

“For locations, as a start we will focus on 10 big cities. Jabodetabek is certain. Then Bandung, Surabaya, Semarang, which will be processed this year, Batam, Makassar have also been, then Medan, Pekanbaru, Lampung, then in Kalimantan, possibly in Balikpapan and Bali,” Michael said.

However, at the beginning of this year, Jetour will only focus on 10 regions first. This is because building new dealers and service centers requires the right partners and careful preparation.

“But at the beginning of this year, we will focus on 10 big cities first. Then we will expand to the next cities,” continued Michael.

Meanwhile, in terms of products, Jetour said that it will also sell electrification-based cars or electric cars. While those marketed by Jetour are currently those with conventional combustion engines or ICE.

“We currently only sell ICE cars. But in the future there will also be electrification. We are more towards hybrid,” said Michael.

Unlike other Chinese brands, Jetour came to Indonesia with a different strategy. When many brands from the Bamboo Curtain Country are aggressively selling electric cars, Jetour is actually the first to come to Indonesia with conventional engine cars.

Previously at the opening of IIMS 2025, Jetour introduced the X50e electric car as its electrification-based product. However, the car has only been introduced and will not be sold yet.
