OLX Introduces Booking Service, A New Feature For Transactions Through Joint Accounts

To enhance customer trust and satisfaction, OLX is implementing various digital innovations. One of these innovations is the introduction of the Booking feature, a new tool for facilitating transactions through OLX's escrow service. This escrow feature, commonly known as "rekber," is already available on other buying and selling platforms, where sellers receive payment only after the goods have been successfully delivered to the buyers without any issues.

Usage Instructions

Additionally, this escrow service is complemented by Cash On Delivery (COD). This initiative represents OLX's ongoing efforts to bolster transaction security and mitigate potential risks. When utilizing the booking service, buyers interested in purchasing an item simply need to click the booking button on the advertisement details. After filling in the required information and making the booking payment as agreed, buyers and sellers can meet to complete the COD transaction.

Subsequently, both the buyer and seller must confirm within the OLX application that the item has been delivered by the seller and received by the buyer. The buyer can then settle the remaining payment directly with the seller as per their mutual agreement. Currently, the booking service is available for used car transactions, with a booking fee of IDR 1 million required as a deposit.

Future Expansion into Other Categories
