National Nutrition Agency Announces Echelon I Officials

The head of the National Nutrition Agency, Dadan Hindayana, held his first public hearing with Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives under the Prabowo Subianto administration. During this meeting, he introduced the leadership team of the agency. 

"Thank goodness we have completed our leadership team," Dadan said during the hearing on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

He listed the names and backgrounds of the agency's leadership team, noting that many are retired military personnel who previously worked at the Ministry of Defense.

For example, retired Major General Dadang Hendrayudha was appointed as the Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision at the National Nutrition Agency. He was formerly the Director General of Defense Potential at the Ministry of Defense.

Dadan emphasized that having a leadership team with a strong military background is very beneficial for advancing the programs at the National Nutrition Agency. 

"The reason we are supported by retired military personnel is that we need to work quickly in the field, and they are already accustomed to that," he explained.

For the second and third levels of leadership, they will be filled by civil servants, with decisions expected soon.

"In the coming weeks, we will fill the positions at levels II and III. We are coordinating intensively with other ministries because these roles must be filled by civil servants. We are working hard to find suitable candidates who can collaborate effectively," Dadan stated.

- Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Major General (Ret.) Lodewyk Pusung

- Chief Secretary of the National Nutrition Agency, Brigadier General (Ret.) Sarwono, previously with the Ministry of Defense

- Chief Inspector of the National Nutrition Agency, Brigadier General (Ret.) Jimmy Ginting, recently retired as Inspector at the Ministry of Defense

- Deputy for Systems and Governance of the National Nutrition Agency, Tigor Pangaribuan, formerly the Director of Human Resources at PT Timah

- Deputy for Supply and Distribution of the National Nutrition Agency, Brigadier General (Ret.) Suwardi, previously with the Ministry of Defense

- Deputy for Promotion and Cooperation of the National Nutrition Agency, Nyoto Suwignyo, formerly the Deputy for Food and Nutrition Vulnerability at the National Food Agency

- Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision of the National Nutrition Agency, Major General (Ret.) Dadang Hendrayudha, previously the Director General of Defense Potential at the Ministry of Defense.
